Interested in getting your organisation or your friends involved in Social Inclusion Week?
There are lots of individuals and organisations who are already doing great things to promote social inclusion. Their work ranges from research and policy development to community outreach work, service provision and fundraising. One of the simplest things we can do to build caring and inclusive communities is to just reach out to those around us. This is why we encourage everyone to host their own Social Inclusion Week event.
Why not organise your own social inclusion event!
Hosting an event is a simple way to help people get involved in their communities and see the benefits of looking out for one another.
What would an ‘event’ look like?
Whatever you would like it to look like! There are any number of discussion groups, forums, BBQs, sporting matches, movie screenings and morning teas that could bring people together and help them to think less about ‘me’ and more about ‘we’. There are options that can work for every community, venue and budget. Remember - how people get together in communities, isn't as important as WHY!
What about fundraising?
Social Inclusion Week is a great opportunity to raise some money for one of the many great organisations that help those who are struggling. There is no one official charity for Social Inclusion Week, therefore your event may support a charity that is particularly relevant to your local community or is of personal importance to you. If you would like to donate to a charity but are not sure who to support, we are proud to recommend the fine work of both the Brotherhood of St Laurence and the Choir of Hope and Inspiration.

How do I let others know about Social Inclusion Week?

We have a 'jpeg' version of the Social Inclusion Week logo which you can download and use in your promotional materials - or send to your local newspaper for use in advertising or with editorial copy. If you need a very high resolution version, please email us . . . .socialinclusionweek@gmail.com

MERCHANDISE
When you register your event, you will receive a Welcome Pack - with samples of our quality Social Inclusion Week t-shirts, printed ballons and a kazoo!. You can order additional t-shirts and balloons for your event online - or download the SIW Merchandise Order Form and send it to us by mail with your cheque or credit card details.
All SIW merchandise will be shipped to your nominated address on Monday 12th November . . . . . and will arrive at least a week ahead of your SIW event. If you need an earlier delivery, contact SIW by email (socialinclusionweek@gmail.com)
T-Shirts
Available in S / M / L / XL / 2XL / 3XL
All orders will be a mix of Lemon, Lime and Blue -with the Social Inclusion Week logo in four (4) colour print.
Price is $10.00 each. (includes packing and postage)
Balloons
This year, we have balloons to match our t shirt colours - giving a great colour theme for your event.
Quality blue, lemon and lime balloons are printed in four (4) colours with the Social Inclusion Week logo.
